Gregg A. Garofalo - Treasurer
Gregg A. Garofalo is a partner with the Law Offices of Gregg A. Garofalo, P.C. focusing his practice in the area of probate, estate planning and residential and commercial real estate. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and the District of Columbia. Prior to going to a career in law, Gregg managed two of his family’s very successful restaurants, The Egg & I.
Gregg graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a B.A. in accounting, and received his J.D. and LL.M from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Gregg began his career with Ernst & Young as tax consultant in the Mergers & Acquisition, Personal Finance and International areas. From there, Gregg joined the highly respected firm of Deutsch, Levy & Engel, Chartered where he focused his practice on estate planning, real estate and probate.
Gregg is an active member of the Illinois Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association where he has served or is serving in leadership roles. Currently, Gregg is the Ex-Officio of the CBA’s Probate Practice Committee where he served two years as Chair. Gregg is also the incoming Chair of the ISBA’s YLD, he is a member of the Trusts & Estates Council, and he is starting his third term as a member of the General Assembly after taking the mandatory one year off between terms. Gregg serves as a member of the ISBA’s mentor program and he is a regular speaker in the area of probate and trusts and estates.
Gregg has served on the Board of Directors of the Italian American Political Coalition for three years, and he is a Board member of the Justinian Society Children’s Endowment Fund.
